LINKSPLIT HELP

Analytics & live activity

Read click reports, compare destination shares and watch recent activity.

Open a report

In the Dashboard, select Analytics beside a link. The report shows tracked clicks for the selected period, the top destination and top browser. These are click totals, not unique visitors or conversions.

Choose a date range from the past 6 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. Choose 30 min, Hourly or Daily resolution for the chart. Use the refresh control to load newly saved counts.

Explore clicks over time

Hover over the chart to inspect a point, click or tap to pin it, and use arrow keys when the chart is focused. View chart data provides a table of the same values, including when JavaScript is unavailable.

Times are shown in UTC. The first and last chart points may cover only part of an hour or day, and counts for the current period are still updating. Recent traffic may take time to appear; use the refresh control to check for updated counts.

Understand the breakdowns

  • Destinations: compares current configured weights with the actual share of tracked traffic in the period. A historical split may reflect earlier weights or destinations.
  • Browsers: estimates the browser from the visitor’s request.
  • Referring domains: shows the source domain where available. Direct includes visits without a referring domain, such as when an app or browser omits it; it does not prove someone typed the URL.
  • Devices and operating systems: estimates from browser information. Unknown includes older clicks and requests that cannot be identified.
  • Weekday and hour: groups traffic within the selected period using UTC.

Some breakdown lists are limited depending on subscription status. A click can come from a person, an automated request or a link-checking tool; these counts do not establish a unique audience.

Watch live activity

Opening a report starts a 15-minute live observation window. While the panel is visible, it checks for new activity about every three seconds and can display up to 50 recent events for that link. Use Pause to pause the feed; use Reconnect when the session expires.

Live activity shows recent visits and may not include every visit. Events can disappear from the feed; use the report for historical totals. The feed omits destination query strings and fragments, raw browser user-agent strings and IP addresses. A visit may appear in live activity before the report’s counts update.

Missing clicks or differences between reports

Reports contain only tracked clicks. When the monthly allowance is reached, redirects continue but analytics and pixels pause until the allowance increases or the next UTC month begins. Visits during that pause will not be backfilled into reports. Other analytics tools may use different filtering, consent and counting rules.

If a report cannot load, refresh it or try again shortly. See analytics troubleshooting for more checks.

Reset statistics

Choose Reset statistics in the report, or Reset stats in the Dashboard’s more-actions menu. Confirm only when you want to permanently clear the link’s total clicks, destination visits, browser/device/operating-system data and referring domains.

Resetting also clears the visit-expiration counter, so a visit-expired link may resume normal routing. Monthly tracked-click usage remains, and the link’s creation time does not change. The cleared statistics cannot be restored.
